Since 1991 CAIWA has provided services to support Central Alberta’s immigrant women to overcome barriers and challenges of their new country, thanks to the generous funding of our government and private sponsors. Unfortunately, this funding alone does not cover the many needs of the newcomer community we serve.

Our continuous effort in fundraising from individuals, groups and businesses helps us to fulfill our mission and commitment to contribute to our vibrant community.

Our new Club Cafe offers immigrant women a chance to socialize; practice their language skills and learn about food choices and meal preparation from different countries here in Canada.

Membership

We are looking for enthusiastic community members to join CAIWA. Help us to provide a network of support and to enable immigrant women and their families to achieve a satisfying and secure life in Canada.

The annual membership fee is $2. To be eligible to vote at the General meeting, the individual member must be in good standing for at least 3 months prior to the general meeting.

Volunteer

Volunteers are very important in our efforts to ensure the successful integration of newcomer immigrants and refugees. By sharing unique talents, passion, knowledge and time, you can make valuable contributions towards making newcomers feel at home.
